in Photography, Weekly Winners

I didn’t take many photos this week. All of these were taken last Saturday, actually. We went to pick strawberries and to a county park that features lots of gorgeous flowers and a model train town. :)

Love the greens in this one…

I was freakishly amused to find this statue, to which some clever person added a pine cone. :)

They’re all amazing pictures, but the one with the strawberry leaves is my favourite, I love the sunlight in this picture! Have a great Weekend!

Thanks so much! I didn’t manage to get a single good photo of a ripe strawberry. And I kind of liked that… :)

All of these are wonderful but I’m partial to those little goslings. Awww, sweet.

Thanks so much, Tiff! There will be another gosling photo in this Sunday’s Weekly Winners. :)

Now I want to go to a strawberry patch and pick and eat, eat and pick!! I love the third one. It’s awesome!

Thank you! You should go pick strawberries. Based on my site stats, I think we live pretty close to each other. E-mail me if you want to know where this farm is. :) Peak was a couple of weeks ago, but there are probably still lots for the pickin’.

As to the photos themselves, it was a REALLY interesting photography experience. First, I was trying to, well, pick strawberries at the time. Second, the light was so interesting… For better or for worse, I didn’t retouch any of the photos in this shoot. :)

Those are great. I love the whole geese thing - so cute! I’ve never owned model trains and know nothing about them, but I always love seeing them when other people have them. very cool.

Thank you so much. My husband could have watched those trains forever. And I would have photographed them for as long as he watched them. ;)

Oh wow, they’re all incredible! My favourites have to be the strawberry ones.

Jenty, thank you! :) I loved the strawberry photos, too.

Great pics this week! My favs are the 2 lake ones~those would be awesome blown up & framed :)

Thanks so much, Connie! It’s interesting, because I tend not to like the landscapes as much as the closeups… I appreciate your kind comment.

I like the model train town (your style brings it some extra charater) and the green strawberries (brings up childhood memories of trying to each the unripe wild blackberries)best out of this week’s collection. Of course they’re all beautiful. :)

Thank you, Laura. You’re so kind. I’m curious what about my style makes it have extra character… the way I shot it? my caption? something else? I’m always interested in why people like (or don’t like) my photos.

I’m guessing those unripe blackberries were rather tart?

Ed found a couple of wild strawberries in our yard this morning. If they’ve not been eaten, I’ll try to photograph them tomorrow. (It’s rainy now… and starting to get dark.)

Thank you, Colleen!

I love those photos! And nothing says spring like baby geese (if only they would stay that cute!)

Thank you!

Yes, soon enough they’ll have babies of their own and be hissing like their parents did this year. :)
