Except for the eventual skin cancer, it was worth it
This is my skin normally.
Except my skin is actually whiter. (No camera on earth can completely capture the whiteness that is my skin tone.)
After taking thousands of shots like these…
…the skin on my right hsoulder and upper arm looked like this.
I was attempting to capture the wind taking some of those seeds away. No such luck. They are stubborn little buggers and don’t fly away until they’re good and ready. Now I know and will do things differently the next time I decide to try to photograph the process.
That said, however, it was fun.
Except for the sunburn.
But what’s a Memorial Day weekend without a little sunburn? I just got mine while doing the equivalent of watching the grass grow. :)

Ouch you poor thing! But I do love the photos!
Thank you, Kelsey. I’m happy with them, too. There are just so MANY of them! SHEESH! :)

Ouchie! Hope the sunburn heals soon… and the pics were worth it ;)
Thanks, Marylin. The sunburn is feeling better. I went through all (and I do mean ALL) the photos yesterday, and I am really, really pleased with how my little project turned out. It may take the greater part of what remains of 2008 to get that project ready to SHOW anyone, but I got some really nice shots. WHOO HOO! :)

And thank you. I think. Heh.

That’s some dedication to your art right there!
Dedication. Insanity. Such a fine line there. :)

Oh, no! I’m sorry about the burn. I am also dreadfully pale so I always need SPF 30+ in order to survive the sunshine.
The pics are great though! Hope you recover soon!

Yeah SPF 30+ was available. In fact, as I was doing the worst of my burning, it was lying right BESIDE me. I just couldn’t tear myself away from the camera long enough to apply it.
Ugh.
But my sunburn is almost gone, and I’m pleased with the photos, so at least for now it’s all good.

Hi, DC! I’m pleased to report that the sunburn is pretty much gone. Hooray!
