Weekly Winners — June 8-14

I didn’t take many photos this week and didn’t pick up the camera until Thursday. Thursday I took some more photos of stuff in our yard. Friday I had a doctor’s appointment and took some photos outside the doctor’s office.

I love the light in this one… and the detail found in the leaves.

I have no clue what this flower is… it was growing in our back yard.

This leaf was lying on our front steps.

I took this photo of our reflection in the mirrored window of my doctor’s office. I wonder if they really are windows. If so, do you think the people inside watching me thought I’d lost my mind? ;)

    Beautiful! Honestly, I love them all. The ’self-portrait’ is really fun! I always joke that my neighbors probably think I’ve lost my mind…”Oh there’s that crazy lady taking photos of the grass again!” Isn’t photography the best?

    Thank you, Jenny! Yeah, I hear you about taking photos of “grass.” The week I took over 4,500 photos of the dandelion it DID look like I was just taking photos of the grass. And my parents had just moved into that house, too. Oy…

    The self portrait one is great - who cares if they were laughing?

    I like the first one of the leaves best…

    Yeah… I don’t really CARE, but I got home and the thought made me go “hmmm…”

    That is a beautiful shot of the fallen leaf! It reminds me of autumn . . . my favorite time of year.

    I’m one step away from the straight jacket with all my self portraits.. LOL

    Great shots of the leaves and flowers.

    I’m hearing you, Secret Agent Mama. I don’t think I could do the Project 365 thing. And even as much as I talk, I’m having trouble doing the Blog 365 thing. (I will take at least a year off before signing up for something else like this. I bet I’ll still blog 90% of the days in 2009, but I won’t “have” to.)

    I still want to try the mailbox shot — maybe one day this week after work, since I’m (finally!) starting to feel better.

    I love the light on the leaves as well. I got some strange looks yesterday, I was photographing the reflective lens on a guide post lol.. I must go back and do it again..

    Thank you! I love that reflection shot. I wish I’d had the foresight to pull the camera down a few inches, so I had my face in the shot. But then I probably would have managed to make it all fuzzy and not-clear. :)
