The jury is still out.

You may know that I take the occasional photograph.

Cindy, one of my real-life photography friends, encouraged me to enter my work in a juried show. “Juried” is just a fancy way of saying “we don’t accept every photograph that’s entered, so don’t get too excited — or be too disappointed if you don’t get in.”

I entered four photos I took at Callaway Gardens in early May.

And later today (Tuesday) I’ll learn if I got in.

I’ll keep you posted.

    WOW R! Your Flickr page looks like stock photography! Damn sister, I thought you were telling us, “Hey I entered the contest and here’s the winning photo I took — the butterfly.”

    Because I’m pretty sure that is what’s going to happen — you’re going to sweep the contest. Excellent photography! At the risk of repeating myself and sounding like an idiot — Wow!

    Oh, Cardiogirl… I saw this response when I first woke up for the day (Tuesday) and it made my day. You’re so kind. :)

    It turns out the show’s organizers extended the deadline until yesterday, so it will be at least a year before I hear anything… Waiting is hard. I had a full-blown panic attack (or at least as close as I get) at work. Ugh.

    Um… I meant it would be at least a WEEK before I hear anything, not a year. (It may FEEL like a year, but that’s beside the point.)

    Ah, I love your optimism. It turns out judging was postponed until today, so I probably won’t hear for about a week. Ugh.
