Orchids!

As I mentioned in today’s PhotoHunt post, my aunt gave me with my first paying photography job when she commissioned me to photograph orchids, which she’s planning to display in her home.

The proofs are below. I’m pleased with how they turned out.

If you want to see them individually, rather than in a collage, you can click on “view all images.” They’re also on my Flickr page under “Orchids for Marian.”

I love photographing flowers and you did a great job. I have some gorgeous wildflower that I’ll post in a bit!

Thank you, Shannon. Orchids can be tough to photograph, but I think I’ve gotten the hang of it… or at least I did that day. :)

I’m looking forward to seeing the wildflowers.

Orchids are always fun to photograph! Congrats! They are beautiful!

Thanks, Lisa. I find them a bit of a challenge to photograph, because they can be so “deep,” for lack of a better word. But Friday’s shoot worked out pretty well…

hi Rebecca, thanks for reminding me about your photos. i love all of them, they’re really beautiful. I actually mentioned your entry to my mom when I rang her last weekend =)
I have to try to photograph my mom’s orchids when I go home for christmas… hopefully they’ll come out good as well.
=D

Hi there! Thanks, Kaycee. I sometimes feel odd about telling people stuff’s on my blog, so I appreciate your saying that.

Isn’t it funny how our “blog life” intermingles with our “real life” sometimes.

When you photograph your mom’s orchids, let me know if you blog them. I’d love to see. :)
