On the way home from visiting my parents yesterday, I told Ed that about 75% of the days this year I’ve felt like blogging and that it’s the other 25% that have killed me.
When I did the math, I learned that 75% of 365 days is (rounded up) 274 days. (Actually, when I did the [...]

This was a fun photo week. I used the self-timer on my camera for the first time. (I’ve had the camera almost a year.) I also got to photograph buildings, something I’ve not done much.
By the way, the blue skies in the photos from our trip to Athens? That’s the way God made the sky [...]

I just realized that I haven’t answered the questions you all asked me last week.

In less than a month, he will have been asking me that question for a full year. July 13 is my first blogoversary.
To mark the day, I’m going to write about why I blog. And [...]

Last July, I wrote about reading Barbara Kingsolver’s book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.
Since then, I’ve wanted to buy more locally grown food. We got the ball rolling last month by picking strawberries at a local farm. (We’re sometimes a little slow on the uptake, but we get there eventually.) Yesterday on the way home from a [...]

You may know that I take the occasional photograph.
Cindy, one of my real-life photography friends, encouraged me to enter my work in a juried show. “Juried” is just a fancy way of saying “we don’t accept every photograph that’s entered, so don’t get too excited — or be too disappointed if you don’t get in.”
I [...]
