I didn’t do much photo taking this week: about 300 all told. Close to 100 of them were of Ed making no bake chocolate peanut butter cookies Friday night. I REALLY wanted those cookies. They’re yummy, too.
Alas, none of those photos made the Weekly Winners cut. A few from a dog party yesterday did.
Gourmet dog treats (yes, even the second one).
The guest of honor. :)
Toby got a bit twisted in his leash. I, the dutiful “parent,” took a photo before freeing him. (He was not hurt.)
Merckx.
Me mid-swing. The dirt is from my being on the ground photographing dogs.
Yesterday afternoon, I took a stroll in our backyard. I came across this leaf.
And that’s all. My Flickr page is here. For more Weekly Winners, visit Sarcastic Mom. Also, come back tomorrow (through Friday) for the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival of one of my photos.

You know that I am crazy about my pets, but the whole beautiful dog biscuits looking like super yummy cookies and birthday parties and whatnot just kind of makes me giggle. Better than running around not enjoying life, I guess, and it did make for some really nice shots. And made me hungry for cookies that look like that but that are not for dogs. ;)

Maggie, I am HEARING you about wanting human versions of those cookies. YUM YUM YUM… Dog parties are a good excuse to get humans together, don’t you think? I know the humans had a great time yesterday, which, really, was the point of the exercise.
LOL, I love the party pics, they’re so cute!! The birthday dog is beautiful!

What an interesting array of pictures! The legs are charming; some of my relatives would
“not approve” (scowl about dirty legs). The lovely little leaf photo at the end is special.

Oh my, how I love the look of the dog treats! Especially the birthday cake. Too cute!
Also, love the close up of the dogs and the feet swinging — oh the joy of flying high on a swing!

I posted the feet swinging photo with you in mind, Cardiogirl. :)
Those doggie cookies look yummy! (And the pictures of them are fabulous too). I hope the party went well and everyone had a wonderful time.

I love the photo of the pink and green treat! Love the dirty legs too! Reminds me of summer.
The dirty legs are my favorite part of the picture, strangely enough. :)
Those dog cookies look good enough for human consumption :)

Yesterday I caught Deeder sharing a dog biscuit with Darren’s dog. I about died of the disgust of it all–I don’t think that it could be more icky! EW EW EW! I scooped Deeder up, brushed his teeth a million times over and made him drink loads of water, then brush again. Your dogs on the other hand look clean enough to share cookies with! And their cookies are absolutely lovely, good work. :)
I wish I could take credit for those treats, but I can’t… either making them OR buying them. But the party was a lot of fun.
Darren has a dog? (Am I confused?)
I’m posting more about the dog treats on Tuesday, so “tune in,” if you’re interested. :)
Oooo I love this set!! Happy Birthday Good Doggy!
ok, seriously, could your guest of honor be any cuter?

Love the swinging feet - looks so carefree!
I don’t know…those dog treats look pretty tasty.
And the shots of the doggies are precious!
I also like the out of place leaf among the green ones.
These are great!

I LOOOVE the picture of the leaf. It looks like a little ray of sunshine in foliage form. Very cool. And doggy treats for birthday parties? Let’s just say my dogs are spoiled but they get a hot dog on their birthday and seem to be pretty happy.
–Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, the treats are a bit decadent, aren’t they? My friend says they’re actually fairly inexpensive, though, which works for me. One of our dogs barely chews his food… That treat is so crunchy, etc., he actually had to work at it to eat it. He loved it, but it took him about 30 seconds to eat half the treat. (Our other dog had the second half.) So yeah… necessary, no. FUN, absolutely!
As for the leaf, THANK YOU for the compliment! There actually WAS sunshine shining on it from behind, which is what caught my eye. :)
Those cookies look so good. And of course, all this week I’ve been wanting to get a new dog. Those beautiful faces didn’t help me resist the urge!

Thank you, Suzanne. I thought about how dumb it was to take a photo going that high one-handed, but I couldn’t help myself. :)
Wow those doggy treats look yummy. The dogs look beautiful too.

Oh I love the first colored leaf of the season. They always come so early. And man oh man if that second cookie is for dogs I wouldn’t mind being a dog myself. They look better than anything I eat.

My favourite is the yellow leaf. It used to make me sad, or even depressed to see the first yellow leaf, but not anymore. Every season has it’s meaning and it’s beauty!
I enjoyed the rest of your photgraphy as well, you did a great job cloning the one with the church! Not easy I think!
Jientje’s last blog post..Fun Monday, What Would You Like to Rule?
Jientje, thank you for the compliment about the leaf and about the church. The cloning WASN’T easy. I was pretty proud of myself. :)
If I saw those treats at a party, I would have been all over them :) I wonder if they’re much yummier than the regular dog treats.
Love you photos of all the dogs! I had a Llasa Apso that looked just the guest of honor. Such a cutie :)
