I didn’t know you lived near Stone Mountain! A friend and I got lost while hiking up the mountain when we were eight years old. I was convinced I was NEVER going to see my mom again and would have to live at the park forever. HAHAHAHA!
Hi, Lis. We live about 10 minutes from Stone Mountain. Ed used to hike several miles there every week. Since we’ve been together, he doesn’t get there quite as often. :) Last week we signed up for a Mountain Membership, which means we can do many of the attractions for $50 each for the next year. It’s been fun.
And getting lost while hiking is not funny, my husband giggled when he read your comment. :)
I really like the raindrops on the car. the glassmaking materials is a really neat shot as well.. and I just love a woman with a tall shadow lol xxxKim

Hi, Annie… if you make it over my way, let me know. We could have a “photography off.” :)
Beautiful pictures. I loved the first one!
My son Santi took a picture of his shadow too, which I featured today.
Have a great week!
Gabriel’s last blog post..Why is she so cute?
Oh very very pretty! Like the shadow, and the goats are very nicely shot (but smelly I can imagine :) ) The wooden house is lovely.
Jenty’s last blog post..Weekly Winners 2 Aug
Jenty, the goats smelled like farm animals (not surprising), but not too unpleasant as smelly things go. :)
Great job on the raindrops~the flag is very pretty~cute shadow portrait~love all the color contrast in glass making materials~love the “old timey”-ness of the wood house~great capture of the billy goat~plantation is nice~but my FAVE is Gazebo, love all the color that pops out :)

I’d never pet a goat. Yes, I pet a goat (several actually). It was pretty cool. But I can understand the creepy feeling. And they DO photograph well. Such personality!
So very much to love this week, again! The raindrops shot is really neat, but I also love the old building and the goats. Nice set!

The glass making materials are so beautiful. I wonder what they are made of? Where does the color come from?
Looks like a great trip.
A Serious Attempt at Fun’s last blog post..8/03/08
–Hi! I didn’t know what it was called either. When most of the piece is made, the glassblower puts the piece in powdered color or larger pieces of glass (frit). From the looks of it, I think this is frit. (I didn’t know either and looked glass blowing up on Wikipedia.) Then he does more “stuff” to the piece, and the frit liquefies and goes all through the piece. If you’ve never seen glass be blown, you should if given the opportunity. It’s really neat! :)
great photo’s. I love that house.

It’s hard to believe the first photo is as simple as water on the car- it’s beautiful! And, I love love love goats!
Jen’s last blog post..Our Tidbits
Yup… just water on a car… a fairly recently washed and waxed car, I’ll bet… but nothing complicated or fancy about it.
I love that shot of the glass making materials. So moody and a great angle.

I love the pictures this week! It is so green and pretty there.
texasholly @ June Cleaver Nirvana’s last blog post..Life is a game
It is MUCH more green this year than it was this time last year. We’re still in a drought, but it’s eased considerably, or at least it has on the surface (if that makes any sense).
The goats are so cute and I’m envious of the water shot.

All so crisp and vibrant! The first one is my fav… I have a thing for the H2O. :-)
You like water? I hadn’t heard. ;)
They’re all beautiful! I really like the one of the glass-making materials, though. The color combination is fabulous… Great set!
Judith Shakespeare’s last blog post..On Sleeping Arrangements & Copy Cats
Judith, it’s interesting to see what people like. I really liked the glass-making material (obviously, as I put it in Weekly Winners), but it left my husband a bit cold. He was pleased to see that people liked it.
