Rebecca, taken today, following a make-over at the Clinique counter.
This afternoon, on the heels of yesterday’s trip to Kohl’s, we went for the bra-fitting. I’m not going to tell you how much I spent at Intimacy, but the bra that fit me best was $81, and one can’t have only one bra. Yeah. Ugh.
Next up was a trip to Macy’s to buy a suit. The suit I bought is the second one I tried on. It was also the last one I tried on. :) Also at Macy’s, I bought a pair of pumps for the aforementioned suit as well as a pair of everyday shoes.
We wrapped up the day at Clinique. I figured that while I was having a day all about me, I might as well go all out. It’s gift time at Clinique, so I got out of there with only foundation and powder. The colors in the gift are good colors for me, so I can use them until I have a few extra dollars to spend on blush/lip color/eyeshadow(s)/eyeliner/mascara/etc. :)
So I spent a freakish amount of money on myself over the last 24 hours. BUT I realized yesterday that I’ve not really bought ANYTHING for myself in years, apart from a pair or two of inexpensive shoes and a pair or two of work pants. It was time.
I have one other thing to say. Those bras BETTER last a long, long time. :)

Wow, wow and wow again!!!
I think you are one of those people who looks just fabulous without a lot of makeup anyway, so your makeover looks very nice and natural. And while I initially balked at the pricetag on that bra (holy smokes!), I certainly understand (oh yes, I do) what it’s like to have not bought anything for yourself in a long time. If you can afford it, why not?! Good for you!
The make-up looks great, very natural! Please be sure to update us on the custom fit bras and whether or not they were worth it. I’ve always thought of doing that, but never gotten around to it. I’ll wait for your verdict :)
