I got my self-addressed, stamped envelope from our friends at the Southeastern Flower Show today. None of my shots got in… Bummer, dude.
Unlike the first show I entered, I wasn’t at all anxious about this one. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to hear anything this soon… so receiving the envelope in the mail kind of snuck up on me. Even though I didn’t get in, the experience was a good one. I am glad I entered, and I’ll probably try again next year.
Happily, I did get a voucher to get into the show, so I’ll likely go to see what DID get in… and to look at all the pretty flowers. :)
Thanks for rooting me on.

Good for you that you see the positives in this - even though you didn’t get in. I’m willing to bet there are plenty of juried shows in which your work would be welcome. Keep at it. I KNOW your work is first class. Once you get in your first one (and have a pedigree to demonstrate) it will be easier after that.
Thanks, Lou.
The thing that’s funny “weird” (rather than funny “ha ha”) about all this is that I GOT my “first one” in July (the butterfly show)… in the first show I ever entered. So I’d done that the “getting in” thing. The “not getting in” thing was new. :)
