Ed and I had a nice Christmas. We spent Christmas afternoon with my extended family (minus one aunt, who spent the holiday with friends, and my dad, who was home really sick).
After dropping Toby off at home (from the photo above, it’s clear that he was tired), we went to Mike and Christie’s for Christmas dinner number 2. As is often the case, Sam provided a lot of good photo ops.
But first, Ed playing Guitar Hero.
Now, Sam with one of his Christmas presents (the tunnel, not the train).
Yesterday, we bought 16 bags of Christmas candy at 50% off. And then I went into a couple of other stores where there was candy for MORE than 50% off. I hate when that happens. But I did get two bags of Rolos in the bargain. :)
That’s 18 bags of candy, folks. No I won’t buy any candy for quite some time. :)
I don’t go back to work until January 5, so we’re going to do a good combination of nothing and something, which is my idea of a perfect vacation.
Eating 50% off candy helps the old vacation cheer, too. :)
What have you been up to over the last few days?

Sound like fun! Oh my goodness - I don’t know what I’d do with that much candy in the house - lock it up somewhere Zack can’t get to it… maybe the same goes for me too! ;)
We’ve had a few quiet days, just enjoying each others’ company. I’ve gotta admit, I haven’t even really missed the blogging… not that I’m going to give it up anytime soon!
My word that’s a lot of candy. Love the tunnel, looks like lots of fun
I did the same thing after Halloween! :)
@Marilyn — I have pretty good self control, which is the only way I can do that. :) From your blog it looks like your last few days have been nice as well. I’m glad to hear it.
@Jeanette — It really IS a lot of candy. But I like a little candy each day, and discount candy is a good way to go.
@Danifred — I’m glad I’m not the only one. :)
