Well, this helps explain the burnout…

I’ve written 571 posts in 2008, including this one.

I can’t BELIEVE I wrote that many posts this year. I have a sneaking suspicion that most of those multiple-posts-in-one-day days were EARLY in the year. ;)

Today ends Blog 365. I checked the Blog 365 Forum yesterday, and it seems that there are a bunch of folks who have kept up with this all year. (I ran out of space in that last sentence for folks, so I’ll keep going here.) The folks I linked to there are just the folks I found on the forum. A call for other Blog 365ers on Twitter yielded Jason. For the love of God. Among the folks I “know,” there are a bunch of “still going” Blog 365ers as well: Sandy at Momisodes, Lou at LouCeeL, Danifred at Sippy Cups Are Not For Starbucks, Jientje at Heaven in Belgium, Storyteller at Small Reflections (among other blogs), and Burgh Baby’s Mom at Burgh Baby. Who else? I know there are others, probably someone really OBVIOUS. (And forgive me for forgetting. Brain. HURTS!)

To paraphrase the NaBloPoMo badge from November 2007: I blogged 365 days in 2008, and all I got was this lousy sense of accomplishment.

I’m glad I saw this through, though. Perhaps it will lead to the confidence to accomplish bigger, more important goals.

As for my immediate future, I’m planning on taking a little break… maybe a day… maybe a week… maybe a month (maybe just an hour?). I’m really not sure. But I’m looking forward to blogging when I want to… when I have something to SAY. If I had to give a goal, it would be to blog an average of 3 times a week. We’ll see how that all works out this time next year.

Onward to 2009, friends. I look forward to seeing you then.

Brava! Brava! I’d love to see how many of the 1500 or so signed up really did it.

Thank you! There are probably a bunch of us who will go into withdrawal without having daily reads. You’ve provided a bunch of links to a year’s worth of reading to bloggers we may not have ‘met’ before.

Am I crazy for pulling a Forrest Gump?

Thanks for that link-roundup. :-) I’m still trying to figure out how to sum up the year.

Congratulations - don’t stay away too long!

Congratulations to YOU for making it through all year … posting daily. I did too … with 378 posts at Small Reflections (where I accepted the challenge) and an additional 234 at Sacred Ruminations, 22 at Blog Rolls, Bling & Blurbs, and 30 more at Happily Retired Gal … and if my math is correct that gives me a total of 664. Just call me cRaZy ;–)
Guess I need to think about making a ‘badge’ to share …
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Hugs and blessings,

Congratulations on finishing Blog 365! It was one hell of a ride huh?
Thanks for the linky love!

Happy ‘09 Rebecca! Hope you found you “grew” while writing all those posts!

I didn’t always get to the computer in some of my funks, but I spent some part of most days in 2008 blogging, or doing something blog related (though I don’t think the blog related stuff get put on the calendar. Anyhow…). But I was a Blog 365er. I just haven’t been to the site in a while. :-|

Congrats! I did it too… and am exhausted! I wish there were a better brag-badge. I suppose I could make one, but I just blogged everyday for a year - sometimes twice, and… I need a nap :)

Heh… way to go :)
