So I’ve been at Blissdom the last couple of days. I’ve had a wonderful time and met a ton of cool people. I’m bringing home about 35 business cards of other bloggers, which seems like a pretty good number for someone who is (believe it or not) a bit shy about going up to people and striking up a conversation. I’ve gained a slew of new followers on Twitter, which is always fun.
It seems that my Twitter reputation preceeds me, at least on some level. At least five times a getting-to-know-you conversation started something like this:
Me: Hi, I’m Rebecca from Ramblings by Reba dot com. My Twitter name is RamblingReba.
Really neato blogger: I know you. Are you the one with the horns on your Twitter photo?
Me: That’s me!
And so it is.

This photo was meant to be up just until I found something I liked better. (Or at least until I found a photo where my hair was well combed. Ahem.) It’s been up since mid-October. I’m still looking for that “better” photo.
I’m just glad people got to know the non-horned Rebecca. At least I hope they did. :)

It’s up there with “Oh yeah, I know those boobs.”
And I think I SAID that to you at Blissdom ‘07, but only after you handed me one of your business cards with your “famous” rack shot on it. Heh.
At least they know us. It just cracked me up. :)
Hehe, you’re going to have to keep the photo then.
I think that photo is super fun. One of these days I’ll actually use my twitter acct….
Reba, you look so good with horns. hmmm. Is there a hidden meaning there?
It was great to meet you too. Thanks for the tip about TweeterDeck. It will totally change the way I use Twitter….maybe that is not a good thing.
Too funny! I think you did a great job striking up random conversations. That is so hard sometimes. … And I absolutely love the horns. You must keep them!
It was so nice to meet you. Thanks for all the Twitter help! It was much needed.
Oh my. Well that’s interesting…
Business cards, huh.
And good for you on meeting people. I certainly fall into the shy category myself. :)
We’d talk in real life, right?
I’d better get working on that business card business!
See? You’ve got a “hook” and it works!
Slightly kicking myself for not having though of it first. ;-)
