I knew procrastinating has its benefits

Today I kept meaning to go to the pool to swim laps.

And kept meaning to go.

And kept meaning to go.

Instead, I watched t.v. Took a nap. Read. Played on the computer. Did everything but swim, in other words.

A little before five, I finally got my sorry butt in gear and made my way to the pool.

It seems the pool was contaminated (read pooped in or vomited in). When this happens, they have to close the pool for 24 hours to clean it. I got there 5 minutes before the 24 hours ended.

This means that if I’d gone when I first started talking about it, I wouldn’t have been able to swim.

I knew procrastinating has its benefits… sometimes anyway. :)

I love your logic.

The good news is that you didn’t get there five minutes BEFORE the pool had been contaminated. :)

Yuck! It’s a good thing that public pools are highly chlorinated. I’m just sayin’.

Mmm… pools. They have pools here in Baghdad, but they will definitely make you sick if you take on any water.

Hi - I’m here from IComLeavWe, by the way. I like that you swim - I, in my head, am a swimmer. I’m without a pool at the moment.
I’ve gone back a few entries in your blog and like it! - the bookmark co-worker thing is a crazy coincidence. Our library had an entire case of things left in books and it too was called “Are these your memories?” Have you found a first for your summer reading of all those books you picked up?
